DRIED FIGS

Dried Izmir Figs (ficus caricas) are pronounced in world markets for its sweet delicate flavour, thin skin and soft flesh. They are harvested in the Aydin province of Turkey, where provided the most favourable climate in the world for growing figs.
 

Production
Turkey realises 62% of the total fig production and 75 % of total dried fig exports in the world, a traditional agricultural export product for the country.
